I’m back from a week at beautiful Kingscliff in Northern NSW where the cycle paths are inviting, the cafes are full of wonderful food and you can watch whales from the balcony of your holiday unit.
This is another gathering song, this time by Carol Dinese and Cathryn Howard. The text allows its use as a communion song as well and you can find it in the sample at WLP where you can also buy the sheet music. It says cantor or all but this is fine for an assembly.
The tune for the last two lines of each verse sounds awfully familiar – any guesses as I can’t place it.
The 2nd last line does sound familiar alright – I think it’s used in a John Michael Talbot or Carey Landry song, but can’t put my finger on exactly which one.
