I am digressing from my Haugenfest to look at songs for fishermen that turned up in a liturgy Ryan attended last Sunday. They went all out with three of them to flog the gospel, two of which I was unaware.
This is a Sea of Galilee shanty by Suzanne Toolan and as Ryan commented goes at a fair clip and is laudably direct and narrative in scope with a broadening of the call to us all. I fear it will be slowed down and drag a bit without care.
Godsongs has some commentary on the song here. It also has an entry at the History of Hymns.
You can find the text here and the sheet music can be purchased at sheetmusicplus. GIA only seemed to be selling handbell music, which would be wild.
