The Wonders of LiturgyShare

So I am playing for the Sunday morning mass instead of Saturday night for the fourth week in Advent and have decided that, while I still want a Marian hymn, it should be something they know rather than something new, that I had rashly selected.

Where to turn, being one who was raised Protestant and still struggles with Marian devotion.

To LiturgyShare of course who have a BVM section in their under construction hymnal.

So many ideas, choices and resources.

Thanks, Chris.

  1. Thanks for the shout out. Sadly, construction of my hymnal section is going at about the same rate as construction of the dock for the new Spirit of Tasmania ferries: if only there were more than 24 hours in the day! Psalms and music suggestions for weekly liturgies are up to date, however.

“Tell Out, My Soul” by now retired Anglican bishop Timothy Dudley-Smith and “The Angel Gabriel” (perhaps minus the last verse) by Anglican priest Sabine Baring-Gould are well-known Marian hymns that work well for the last Sunday of Advent and should cause no problems for anyone raised Protestant! What did you end up picking?
