This is a very nice chant setting of the Beatitudes (Matt 5:3-12). It is Richard Proulx’s adaption from the Russian Orthodox liturgy (KONTAKION).
O blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
O blessed are those who mourn,
for they shall be comforted.
O blessed are the meek,
for they shall inherit the earth.
O blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness,
for they shall be satisfied
O blessed are the merciful,
for they shall obtain mercy.
O blessed are the pure in heart,
for they shall see God.
O blessed are the peacemakers,
for they will be called children of God.
O blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
O blessed are you the world reviles you and persecutes you
and utters all manner of evil against you falsely for my sake.
Rejoice and be exceedingly glad,
for great is your reward in heaven.
