A number of Australian churches livestream Masses these days, but there’s not a great deal of Australian produced individual hymns or liturgical music on YouTube, which is a shame, because its very useful for choir rehearsal. There is, however, a stunning Australian rendition of my gifts hymn selection at https://youtu.be/RIUp2maYZWg from Jessica Di Bartolo.
Thanks, Chris.
Quinn’s hymn is performed gloriously.
Youtube is awash with American hymns from the GIA/OCP axis, which makes it easy to audition that material. At Willow they have lots of Australian hymns but they don’t always have a way of properly hearing the work performed.
It would be some work to clip out individual hymns from streams and post them, but maybe someone will have time to do that.

If I could go off topic and share something others might find useful: several months ago, the Catholic Archidocese of Melbourne remodelled their music suggestion website, which in turn was a replacement for their liturgical magazine “Summit”. The site was formerly a bit of a mess, but the redesign is very good and it provides useful musical suggestions in a variety of genres from AOV, CWB and some U.S. material. It can be found at https://summit.melbournecatholic.org/category/music-suggestions/
Chris
That’s a miraculous improvement on the old site. Thanks for the heads up.

Interesting they list all of them, because I thought the view of the Bishops’ Conference is basically that CWBII becomes *the* authoritative source.
I haven’t actually got a copy of it but I’ve found an index from CWB online (so I can still prepare hymns that I know are in there), but I was wondering if anyone knew of an equivalent list by tune (or by meter)?
CWB2 might be described as the centre-piece, but if you go to https://www.catholic.org.au/nlmc/recommended-hymns-and-songs-approved-by-the-acbc you’ll find other lists and a full description of the ACBC policy. CWB2’s tune and meter indexes are a pain in the neck to use because they only refer to hymn numbers rather than titles, and the tune index can only be found in tne accompaniment edition.
It seems my comment last Sunday was lost to cyberspace, so we’ll try again.
