Merry Christmas! Just thought I’d leave a note about our Christmas midnight mass. We did the usual suspects (O Come All Ye Faithful, Silent Night, Joy to the World, etc.) but our choir did Francis Patrick O’Brien’s Wood of the Cradle during the gifts. It was the first time I’d heard it during Mass and I wish we’d use it more as a congregational hymn (it’s in our hymnal!). It connects the Nativity to the Crucifixion to the Eucharist.
