Entrance: Christ Be Our Light (Farrell) AOV 2/3
Psalm 33:
The Lord set me free from all my fears (Bishop / Fort)
(ie Rita and Elizabeth didn’t like any of the suggested tunes and wrote one themselves)
Gifts: You Are My Rock
Communion: Do You Really Love Me? (Landry)
Seed Scattered and Sown (Feiten) GA 195
Thanksgiving: The Summons (Maule / Bell) AOV NG 149
Recessional: Celebrate (Brown) AOV 1/44
I don’t know any details about “You are My Rock” and “Do You Love Me (Peter Feed My Sheep)”, but I gather they are important to the community of St Peter’s where I am attending mass and I’m looking forward to hearing them.
Below is my parish suggestions. This will be our last week of Mass of G & P (been using it since beginning of Lent).
Gathering: Peter and Paul Hymn (Bulimba Parish) http://www.bulimbacatholic.com/files/peter_and_paul__1_melody.pdf . We will use the tune ‘Aurelia’ instead.
Responsorial Psalm: The Angel of the Lord (Guimont)
POG: Only This I Want (Schutte)
Communion: Now We Remain (Haas)
Sending Forth: As a Fire Is Meant for Burning (Duck)
What Mass setting is next, Chris?
We will go back to Mass Shalom for the time being.
Landy’s DYRLM was apparently in his “Hi God 1” publication, and is available from OCP: http://www.ocp.org/compositions/11795#tab:mp3s Not on iTunes though, so I guess it didn’t make it into the first recording.
We used to sing it in primary school. It was fine for then, and taught the scriptural message well. I’d use it in my current (child-heavy) parish if people knew it, but most likely not in a more mixed age-group place. Don’t expect too much, and you won’t be disappointed!
PS Any chance you could increase the number of entries in your Recent Comments gadget? With only five showing, they tend to move on quite quickly by the time you reply to each one.
Thanks, Mary.
I didn’t know you could increase the entries in the comments section! I have attended to it.

Just found your post – I’m a day late for this year, but always looking to have resources in my arsenal for next year. 🙂
I was wondering if you can give me any more info re: “You are my Rock” and the Peter and Paul hymn from Bulimba – unfortunately, the link is now broken. 🙁 Each year I wind up using mostly ancient Peter and Paul hymns dusted off from out-of-use and out-of-print hymnals, pairing them with familiar tunes, but for my congregation, I really would like to mix in something a bit more contemporary as well.
I’ve finally got around to “You Are My Rock” yesterday.

There are links to Andrew Chinn’s site in the post.
I don’t know the other one that Chris suggested, but I suppose you could e-mail Bulimba.

Better still, you could try this link for the Peter and Paul Hymn:

Does anyone have information for the hymn: “We Honour you, Saints Peter and Paul”? I will appreciate Music Sheet for it and whether its copyrighted.
Does anyone have the hymn for Solemnity of Sts Peter and Paul in the Liturgy of the Hours? The hymn is “What fairer light is this than time itself doth own”. Thanks and God Bless …
