Just wondered about using Ray Repp songs which I grew up on and still like. What publisher has the copyrights?
Thanks!
I’m not sure Joan. I note some of the songs on Hymnary are listed as from K&R Music, which he helped found, and one song distributed through OCP is covered by Otter Creek Music.
Googling Ray Repp and copyright brings up the fascinating case he took against Andrew Lloyd Webber for stealing one of his songs (he lost).
I think its great that Yola’s parish uses old Ray Repp folk mass material and a very recent Manibusan piece and a jazzy setting of Duck’s “Abundant Life” by Glover – such diversity.
