This is a John Bell song based on Psalm 13 set to his tune NEW THIRTEENTH.
The music in GA does not have chords , which is the same as the copy I have in Heaven Can Wait. Now as far as I can tell the whole song is Dm except for one bar of G, but why not tell poor musical ignoramuses such as myself that instead of making me think.
The text is in the preview at GIA where you can also buy the sheet music (still no chords). It is meant to be slow and bluesy with a cello backing as exemplified by the sample music at GIA.
I couldn’t manage that so my backing has a sinister slide guitar instead.
Bell comments:
Sometimes we have to call on God’s care, because we have been made redundant, victimised, lost out in love or have been hurt by people close to nus. At such times the words of Psalm 13 can be very helpful.
I’d recommend it as we digest the findings of the Royal Commission.
