Another song for children, this time by Marta McRae. Apart from being American and published by OCP, there is little about her on the net. This song appears to be written for a specific task – a greeting song, perhaps for confirmation and first Eucharist classes. There is a snippet to hear at AOV.
Refrain
In God’s circle of love we hold onto each other;
I can see God’s love through you.
In God’s circle of love we learn to love each other;
Each of us is special, in God’s circle of love.
Verse
Oh, yes [or name of child] did you know
that you are very special;
You’re so special to us all.
Oh, come if you will to our circle of love;
Each of us is special in God’s circle of love.
Refrain

Looking for the music for this song…. This is a beautiful song. I love it for Baptism.
This is an odd one.
Apart from being available in As One Voice 2 and As One Voice for Kids that can be purchased on line at http://www.asonevoice.com.au/as-one-voice-for-kids-1/kids-edition-physical-products, you think it would be available at the the original publisher OCP. All I could find there is a link to a version of the song (http://www.ocp.org/compositions/11305#tab:indexes) but no sheet music and certainly no digital download. It might be worth contacting OCP directly if you just want that song, but otherwise I can only find it in the collections. If you are in Australia it is likely your church already has a copy of As One Voice.
This is by Carey Landry and was on one of the Hi God releases – I think either 3 or 4.
We have used it for First Communion.
Would like to know where to purchase sheet music for this. Heard it at some of my grandchildrens First Communion and love it. Have heard it sung by both adult and childrens choirs. It was impressive by both.
G’Day Karen
OCP says it is not available for individual sale:

If you don’t want to get it in “As One Voice” then you could contact OCP and ask them. Sometimes the publishing companies have stock they don’t bother advertising.
If I have a problem with a song and I can find a songwriter I try to contact them directly, unless I’ve thoughtlessly insulted them on my blog, but in this case I haven’t been able to find any trace of her.
cheers
Geoff
