Because the parishes I have played at have a repertoire from the last 40 years, largely from As One Voice, I have blogged most of those songs over the last few years. The songs I am blogging now, either from OCP’s Guitar Accompaniment Book or from selections from other parishes with more traditional fare, are plugging gaps and are tending to be older tunes. I’ll have to find some modern tunes to balance this out I think.
This old hymn’s first two verses are by Isaac Watts and the third and fourth have an unknown author. The text and sheet music are here courtesy of our LDS friends.
I’ve recently blogged the tune DUKE STREET here.
