This is a lovely hymn written by David Evans in the 1980s but has a classic singable tune. I’ve never heard it before but apparently it is a favourite in many places.

Indeed: it’s extremely well known in Ireland and from the looks of things the UK, but virtually unknown in Aus/NZ. There’s a small group of songs like this, I’m not quite sure why – possibly because they were written in the 1980s rather than 1970s. Another is John Glynn’s “Close to You” – widely known and loved here.
