Back in October last year I had started to look at OCP’s Guitar Accompaniment Book before my correspondents demonstrated just how many songs there are for the Advent / Christmas season. Having blogged most of the songs I’d never heard of for that season, it is now January.
This is a bright Latin style song with a text by Owen Alstott set to his wife, Bernadette Farrell’s tune. There are six verses – 2 beatitudes, 2 trembles and 2 glories. It also has six alternative verses that could be used if you were using this as a Gospel Acclamation.
