My peregrinations found me in Hobart for Holy Thursday and Good Friday and back in George Town today for the Easter Vigil.
We were within walking distance of St Joseph’s Church in Hobart and attended there for two well organised, well attended and most effective liturgies.
The music was:
Holy Thursday
We Come to Your Feast (Joncas)
Table Song (Bates)
Now We Remain (Haas)
Let Nothing Trouble You (Farrell)
Servant Song (Gillard)
Eat This Bread (TAIZE)
The Last Supper (Wylie)
Stay Here (TAIZE)
Stay With Me (TAIZE)
Good Friday
Stay With Me (TAIZE)
We Sing the Saviors’s Glory (Schutte)
My God, My God (Hurd)
Behold the Cross (Hurd)
My People (Andersen)
O Sacred Head Surrounded (Hurd)
Jesus Remember Me (TAIZE)
Now the Green Blade Rises
Were You There.
I’m always pleased to find out about the liturgical choices for music at other parishes.

Don’t want to buy into liturgical wars, but I sincerely hope that the Easter carol “Now the Green Blade Rises”, celebrating Christ’s rising, wasn’t used on Good Friday.
Chris
I fear the choir did sing that on their own, however I left as soon after the veneration as I politely could, as I think that is where the liturgy should end on Good Friday.
Maybe it was in confident anticipation.
cheers
