Purpose
I've worked my way through the As One Voice books and other collections making backings on Band in a Box to help me (& you if you're interested) learn new songs for church. This is aimed at churches and musicians that own the collections but haven't exploited them fully. If you don't have them they are certainly worth buying. This site is educational, nonprofit and designed to enhance the commercial prospects of songwriters. This site does not distribute copyrighted sheet music.Disclaimer
Any opinions expressed here are personal views and not the responsibility of any Church.
All music backings posted are created by myself and the intention is for them to be used to learn the songs. If any copyright holder wishes me to cease publicising and promoting their wares and directing people to where sheet music can be legally purchased please let me know.Mason’s “Mass of Glory and Praise”
To access my backings for Paul Mason's mass go to Feb 2011 in the archive.-

All Things New G3 541
The last Easter song in Gather 3rd ed. that I haven’t covered already is this Rory Cooney song. It is an interesting tune with a key change half way through the verse and gentle syncopation that is kind of catchy. … Continue reading

Earth, Earth, Awake! G3 531
I’m blogging the Easter songs in Gather 3rd ed. that I haven’t already covered elsewhere. I suspect this setting of Herman Stuempfle‘s text by Sally Ann Morris was a labour of love because she called the tune STUEMPFLE. It has … Continue reading

This is a Day of New Beginnings G3 522
This Brian Wren text was written for New Years, but Gather 3rd ed. re-purposes the words for their Easter section. They use a setting Lori True, but it appears to more commonly sung to Carlton Young‘s music. Wren’s text is … Continue reading

We Walk His Way / Ewe, Thina G3 517
This is a lively South African song translated by Anders Nyberg. I always wonder at these copyright claims on traditional songs. It has an Easter theme but that should not limit its use. The text is at Hymnary. I can’t … Continue reading

Be Not Afraid (aka Nebojte Se) G3 516
More TAIZE from Gather 3rd ed, this time for Easter. The words and music are credited to the Taize community, but other sources say it is Jacques Berthier as usual. G3 has English, Czech, Polish and Croatian verses. The Czech … Continue reading
